This Privacy Policy explains how the Mateday app for iPhone ("Mateday", "the app") handles your information. Mateday is provided by vubyapp.com ("we", "us"). By using Mateday, you agree to this policy.
1. Information stays on your device
Mateday is built to work without sending your information anywhere. The AI that powers Mateday is Apple's on-device model (Apple Intelligence, through Apple's Foundation Models framework). Your messages are processed on your iPhone, not on our servers or a third-party AI service. We do not operate any server that receives your data.
Because we never receive your information, we cannot see, read, or access your chats, calendar, reminders, or anything else you do in the app.
2. What Mateday stores on your iPhone

You can delete individual chats and memories in the app, turn memory off in Settings, or delete everything by deleting the app. The free message count is stored in the iOS Keychain and may remain on your device after the app is deleted.
3. Permissions Mateday asks for
Each permission is optional. Mateday asks before using it, and you can change your choice at any time in the iOS Settings app.
Calendar
Used to answer questions about your schedule, prepare your Daily Briefing, and add events you confirm. Mateday never adds an event without you tapping to confirm.
Reminders
Used to show your tasks, mark tasks as done when you tap them, and add reminders you confirm.
Microphone and Speech Recognition
Used only when you tap the microphone to dictate. Speech is turned into text on your iPhone using Apple's on-device speech recognition. Your audio is not recorded, stored, or sent to us. If the English speech model is not already on your iPhone, iOS may download it from Apple once.
Contacts
When you send a drafted email or message, you can pick a recipient with the iOS contact picker. Mateday only receives the contact you choose, and does not access your contact list.
Notifications
Used for the optional morning notification for your Daily Briefing. Notifications are scheduled on your iPhone.
4. Sending emails and messages
When you choose to send a draft, Mateday hands it to Apple's Mail or Messages app, or the share sheet. Sending happens in those apps under their own privacy terms. Mateday does not send anything on your behalf.
5. Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details. The app checks your subscription status on your iPhone using Apple's StoreKit. Apple's handling of purchase information is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
6. What we don't do
- We don't collect personal data, usage data, or diagnostics.
- We don't use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools, and Mateday contains no third-party SDKs.
- We don't sell or share your information, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
- We don't use your data to train AI models.
7. Apple services
Mateday relies on features provided by Apple, including Apple Intelligence, Calendar, Reminders, speech recognition, iCloud (if you sync your calendar or reminders through it), and the App Store. Apple's handling of data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. If you use iCloud backups, your Mateday data may be included in your iCloud backup under Apple's terms.
8. Children
Mateday is a productivity app for adults and is not directed to children under 13. Because Mateday does not collect personal information, we do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because your Mateday data is stored only on your iPhone and we never receive it, you can exercise these rights directly in the app or by deleting it. If you have a question, contact us below.
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above. If a change affects how your information is handled in a meaningful way, we will let you know in the app or on this page before it takes effect.
